A THIRTY-EIGHT year old man of Chimwemwe township in Kitwe has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 14 year old daughter whom he also impregnated.
The 14 year old victim who was defiled on several occasions between December 2022 and May 2023 is suspected to be three months pregnant.
Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said when the victim’s parents divorced she went to stay with mother and her stepfather in Luanshya.
Mr Mweemba said while in Luanshya the victim was defiled by her stepfather before she moved to Kitwe in 2021 where she was also defiled by her father.
He said the juvenile’s father started having carnal knowledge of his daughter on unknown dates last year with the recent incident being May 21, 2023.
“The girl whose parents are divorced, was staying with her mother in Luanshya where the step father sexually abused her and she run to Kitwe in 2021 where she started staying with her father and stepmother.
In December 2022 on unknown dates, her biological father started
having carnal knowledge of her and this happened on several occasions the last being on Sunday,”said Mr Mweemba.
He said the juvenile only disclosed to her teacher that she was pregnant after she fell sick while at school.
