CRIMINALS in Lusaka continue to taunt the innocent

CRIMINALS in Lusaka have continued to taunt the innocent, with the latest case being that of a K100,000 being stolen from a vehicle parked at a named school in Northmead area.

The victim only identified as Vincent of Ngombe Township where he owns a shop is believed to have carried the said money with him to make more orders in town.
He However, could not make orders in town as the items that he wanted were unavailable and so he made way to Northmead to pick his child from school.
Immediately after securing his vehicle and going into the school premises, the criminals who are alleged to have been in a blue Toyota Allion pounced on his car and sped off with the said money.
Confirming the incident, police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said the incident occurred yesterday around 12:30 hours.
“The victim left his shop in Ngombe compound and carried with him K100,000 to go and make some orders in town. When he got into town he could not make orders because the goods he wanted were not available in the shops.So he decided to go to school in Northmead to pick up his child. He reached the school and parked his motor vehicle in the carpark and went inside to pick his child. When he returned to the car park, he noticed a blue Toyota Allion with two occupants in it.”
“He quickly ran towards his vehicle and when he opened the door he discovered that money was missing and while this was happening the blue Toyota Allion sped off,” he said.
Mr Mwale stated that the criminals tampered with the driver’s door by damaging the locking system.
