You see guys, poverty is very bad to the point where you can bath properly and put on new nice cloths, but you still look dirty and those doing fine can simply buy clothes from salaula and still look clean.
I don’t know if the youth especially the praise singers hear and appreciate the passion of president HH on the change of mind set. His passion is for a nation and people to begin to embrace investment and say no to renting expensive houses, driving posh at the expense of investing such salaries for the betterment of their children.
Today, I attended the opening of the Corporate Head Office for INDO Zambia Bank in Lusaka where the president was a guest of honor and I was encouraged to see him speaking my mind of putting our salaries to good use. He emphasized the dangers of using 250,00 USD to buy an expensive cars rather than invest it and earn interest. He said, there are some people who think putting on expensive suits is good life but what benefit does expensive suits bring to your generation? he wondered.
I totally agree with the president. This change of mind set from praising those buying expensive suits, eating expensive meals, buying crates of beer to putting our salaries in government bonds, shares is the only hope for our children.
You see, to come out of this circle and begin to push investment agenda is not easy more especially in the society where your own family begin to push you to live a life equal to your money. They will be life, you are now ama levels. Yes, some people have no wisdom to the level where they can visit you and straight away start asking you to change this and that without even understanding your agenda. Avoid such people at all cost. You need people who can question your suit like why not put this money in government bonds than buy such things.
The point is that remember that poverty is really bad and we can’t afford to be called big buyers at the expense of building a good life for our children. I know some of you are still looking at the number of years remaining on the contract and are thinking of starting building later, but I can tell you that once you die, all your lovely children will be in dark.
If you die today, all the children will be withdrawn for those expensive schools and will go bank a one roomed house in a compound.
