A 27-YEAR-OLD maid of Makeni East, Lusaka, has been taken to court for allegedly sexually abused by a four-year-old boy while the child’s parents went to the shops.
Maureen Buumba, the maid of Mumbwa, has been charged with indecent assault.
The allegedly act happened on June 8, this year and Buumba will take plea before Lusaka Magistrate Kawana Mwamfuli.
It is alleged that on the material day, Ms Buumba allegedly got the victim and inserted the child’s genitals into hers.
But the child later informed the parents about the incident which happened and also explained the ordeal to the police in the presence of his parents during investigations.
Police later warned and cautioned Ms Buumba in connection with the allegations and she voluntarily gave a reply denying the allegations before she was formally charged and arrested.
