FOLLOWING his recent arrest, former Zambia Revenue Authority commission general Kingsley Chanda has appeared in court charged with 23 counts of abuse of authority of office and wilful failure to comply with procedure.
On June 2, Police in Lusaka jointly charged and arrested former Mr Chanda and former ZRA director of administration Callistus Kaoma.
The arrest was in connection the duo’s failure to comply with any law or applicable procedure or guidelines and abuse of their authority of office in relation to the disposal of used Zambia Revenue vehicles.
Yesterday, the duo, appeared before the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court facing 23 counts of abuse of authority and wilfully fail to comply with the applicable law and procedure.
