A FORTY-three year old male civilian of Lusaka’s Mtendere Compound has been detained by Zambia Police for beating up a Zambia Army trained officer at the rank of Colonel and grabbing his land surveying parafanila.
According to Zambia Police Service assistant public relations officer Godfrey Chilabi, the soldier identified as colonel Charles Mulenga along another survey, Hargai Mulenga were attacked by mob in Mikango area last week as they were doing land surveying works.
Chilabi explained that as the two men were doing their work, the now apprehended suspect, Situmbeko Silume
in the campnay of a violent mob attacked them, beat them up and grabbed their equipment.
“The suspect is detained in custody while a manhunt for the other accomplices has been instituted,”
Chilabi told Kalemba in a statement.
