CHIPOLOPOLO coach Avram Grant has named 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning defender Stoppila Sunzu in his 29 – man squad to face Ivory Coast in 2023 AfCON qualifier at Levy Mwanwasa Stadium next month.
Zambia are intent to return to the Africa Cup of Nations having missed the last three editions.
Chipolopolo are one point away from making it to the AfCON.
They could seal their qualification next month should they avoid defeat to Ivory Coast regardless of what happens in the match between Comoros and Lesotho.
Zambia are second of the group with nine points, one behind leaders Ivory Coast, six better than third placed Comoros while Lesotho are carrying all the teams in the group with one point.
There are two matches left before the end of the qualifiers.
Other notable players that have made the list include defender Aime Mabika, out of form striker Patson Daka and inform top man Fashion Sakala.
